You meet thousands of people and none of them really touch you, then you meet that one person and your life is changed forever…There they are, your thoughts fading away. I went from thinking about you every single moment of the day, and night, to thinking about you every other moment, than every other day, and now forgetting to remember you at all. This doesn't mean I don't love you, it just means I am coming to terms with it.
You lose a person one day at a time. You can’t forget them all of a sudden. It takes endless gloomy mornings, and countless depressing nights to make you feel barely okay. Eventually, one morning, you get to a point when you wake up and realize that they are not floating at the surface anymore - the thoughts, the memories, the pain. But, they are not tossed away either. They have just been archived neatly somewhere in the heart. And you are sitting there, almost surprised at all the clean space in the heart. You had forgotten how much room you had in there! I suppose at the end of the day, all you can do is smile, and say, it was nice knowing someone and building all those memories with them, before you jump out of the bed and welcome a new day.
